Rebel Raceway was built in 1965 by Pat Carr. He was one of the first to have a "racing go kart" in Ms. He started this track as Lake Side Race Track, a small dirt oval and built it into the fast 3/10 mile road course that it is today. He has hosted WKA events and the first big money race in this area, with a purse of $25,000.00 back in May of 2001. Lake Speed a former World Karting Champion from Jackson, Ms. was a visitor of Rebel Raceway for many years before becoming a Nascar Nextel Cup driver. Pat's sons Brian & Shane are still involved in the running of the track these day. We welcome kids of all ages to Rebel Raceway for a night of high performance racing.
